Stop Paying for Electricity During the Day.
Reduce Your Electricity Bill by 2/3 Today.
South Africa has been battling load shedding for nearly 17 years, and now consumers face another major hurdle—soaring electricity costs. The high prices are driven by remedial measures, diesel for generators, and defaults on electricity payments. But few know that with just solar panels and a sunny day, you can make your electricity completely free during the day!
Start with solar panels and an inverter only, and grow your system at your own pace if you want. At Green Energy ZA, we’ve developed flexible payment options to make solar installations affordable for everyone. With solar power, your system pays for itself in the short term and continues to save you money for years. Don’t let high electricity costs drain your wallet—switch to solar today and start saving!

Can I really afford a solar inverter system?
Absolutely! Many make the mistake of getting a full assessment upfront, which can lead to feeling overwhelmed by the initial cost. Start with what you can afford; solar systems are modular, allowing gradual expansion to fit your needs and budget perfectly. Start small, grow sustainably, and achieve your energy goals over time.
Additionally, there are financing options available to help you pay for a solar inverter system over a period of time. Pay whilst saving if you are buying the solar Inverter with backup system or getting Backup power while paying it off, there are flexible payment plans to suit your situation. How does a Solar Inverter System Work?
In the system shown, solar panels provide DC power to the inverter. The inverter can then use this power to run your home and charge the batteries simultaneously. When batteries aren’t charging, they can supply DC power to the inverter, which can then power your home, especially at night when solar power is low. If solar and battery power aren’t enough, the grid steps in to supply AC power to the inverter. This setup ensures constant electricity supply, making the system reliable and efficient.
For those without solar panels, the system still provides a backup solution during load shedding. In this scenario, the batteries serve as the primary backup, ensuring continuous power supply when the grid is down. However, without solar panels, the batteries rely on grid power for charging. This means that during times of load shedding or when solar energy is insufficient, the batteries will need to be charged by the grid to maintain power supply.
However, the system is designed for flexibility and expansion. Later on, solar panels can be added to the setup to achieve full functionality. Once solar panels are integrated, they can charge the batteries directly, reducing dependency on the grid and enhancing the system’s overall efficiency and sustainability.
